The Mighty Madrona Tree Tour (1.25 mile walk)

Saturday, April 9th from 10am-12pm – meeting at the Bremerton YMCA to begin the walk.

The tropical-like Madrona tree’s density in this 15-acre urban forest is baffling to area arborists. We’ll walk a brand-new 1.25 mile loop within the park, just in time to see it bloom its bell-shaped flowers – and learn why, in a time the species is under threat – saving this forest is critical. Meet at the Bremerton Family YMCA at 10 a.m. to begin the walk.
