Kitsap Foster Care Recipient Scholarship

The Kitsap Foster Care Scholarship is a $3,500 per year (max $14,000) scholarship available toΒ individuals who have spent time in the foster care system and are seeing a college degree or vocational/trades training.
The deadline to apply is March 31, 2022.
Apply at www.Washboard.org where students can set up a free profile and apply for many scholarships. Foster youth graduating from a Kitsap County High School or GED, or an adult with a high school diploma or GED who was a Foster Child seeking a college degree or vocational/trades training.
No age requirement.
π΅ Must submit a statement of need or optional essay of how the scholarship would help
π΅ Must maintain a 2.0 GPA in order to be eligible for scholarship renewal
π΅ Must be a Kitsap County resident
Students have up to 6 years to access the scholarship but may not receive more than $14,000. A yearly report with transcripts and brief description will
be the renewal process.
Full or Part-Time Students (5 Semester Units, 7 Quarter Units). May be used for Tuition, Room and Board, Books & School Fees.
Only to be used at Accredited institutions. May be used for Trade or Vocational School if they are not “for-profit” entities.
