First Friday Hands-on History at the Kitsap History Museum

May 6 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Stop into the Kitsap History Museum on Friday, May 6th from 5-8pm during Bremerton’s First Friday event downtown.

The “Japanese American Incarceration: Civil Liberties Lost” Hands-on-History trunks were originally created for educational use in public schools to enhance related unit studies in the classroom.

This 2-trunk set addresses, through the use of artifacts, Executive Order 9066 and the forced removal and incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII. The trunks will be open in our lobby for visitors to explore for First Friday, May 6th through the end of May as part of our Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month programming.
