FREE Community Meal at Village Green

On the 2nd Friday of the month, Kingston Cares, in partnership with local groups, sponsors a free meal for the community at the Village Green Community Center. Meals are available from 5-6 PM.
Join us for inside dining, or you may pick up a meal to-go in the dining room. If you need assistance a volunteer is available to help you with your to-go meal. The meal is free but donations are appreciated, if you are able.
Notice: Changes to the Community Meal starting in November 2023
The original Purpose of the Community Meal was to:
- Build a sense of community, and
- Help alleviate food insecurity.
The Grab and Go model was implemented in response to COVID restrictions. Now that we are past the worst of COVID, we wish to encourage community dining.
As of the November 10th meal, food services for all will start at 5:00 pm. We are asking those of you who are able, to please come inside for your meal. You can request a meal To Go at the service window.
We hope you will stay and eat in the dining room. If you are unable to come into the building, we ask that you line up in front of Village Green Community Center (as you have been doing), and a volunteer runner will bring you the meals that you would like.
We hope you will help us build a stronger community spirit. Thank you for participating in this effort!
